If you’re ever in Monmouth County and looking for a good meal, I have you covered. I’ve tried (and enjoyed) quite a few restaurants in the area and I’m happy to share my favorites with you. From seafood to farm-to-table fare, there’s something on this list for everyone. So whether you’re in the mood for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, or maybe you just moved to the area and exploring new places. Check out one of my top picks. I’d love to hear your recommendations as well. Bon appetit!
Anjelica’s Restaurant in Sea Bright
Literally any pasta dish is magical 🤌 plus the alleyway dining so charming.
Rooney’s Oceanfront Restaurant in Long Branch
Angry Lobster or any of their fish options. Plus it has a beach view! Say hi to their amazing GM Darrell!
Birravino in Red Bank
Their chicken parm is on another level. Meatballs and pasta dishes are excellent as well. During the summer, they have an outdoor eating area (make sure you order their Frosé ‑ my empty glass pictured below).
Ganga Asian Bistro ‘n’ Sushi in Matawan
The freshest sushi with a trendy vibe. Technically considered Middlesex county, but on the cusp of Monmouth.
Drew’s Bayshore Bistro in Keyport
Their shrimp dish beat Bobby Flay. Do I need to say any more? The most delicious southern comfort food.
Brando’s Citi Cucina in Asbury Park
I usually order their Bronzino and finish the night with their Homemade Pistachio ice cream cake and/or the fried Tortoni. It’s a MUST if you go.
Rosalita’s Roadside Cantina in Englishtown
If you love Mexican, you need to try Rosalita’s.
Patricia’s of Holmdel
Their pizzas, pastas, it’s all amazing and tastes like homemade Italian. Say hi to Frankie when visiting!
d’jeet? in Shrewsbury
Locally sourced food, unique dishes, and always delicious. I love their chicken salad and goat cheese fritters for lunch ‑ amazing. Located in the Grove.
Barnacle Bills, Rumson
Hands down you need to order their Cheeseburger (specifically with the cheddar cheese sauce) ‑ you’ll thank me later.
Hands down some of the best seafood in Monmouth County.
